NFIB: Calif. sick-leave bill could mean loss of thousands of jobs

California's proposed sick-leave bill could cost the state 370,000 jobs in five years if it passes, according to a study by the National Federation of Independent Business. The bill would require small businesses with fewer than 10 employees to offer five paid sick days a year, while firms with 10 or more employees would be required to offer paid nine sick days.
