Surging fuel costs force Dow Chemical to boost prices again

Higher energy costs will force Dow Chemical to boost prices for the second time in one month, the company said. Chief executive Andrew N. Liveris called the increases "extremely unwelcome but entirely unavoidable." American Chemistry Council Chief Economist Kevin Swift noted that every $1 increase in the price of crude oil costs the chemical industry $660 million each year.
