ECB, Fed differ on approach to resolving crisis:

U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said central banks should make a highly visible money drop from helicopters to sidestep depression. The European Central Bank prefers a less visible strategy of quietly distributing funds to banks. The Fed and the ECB are both fighting recession and deflation, using decidedly different tactics.
