A social network called Skout quickly caught on as a dating service when singles realized they could use their smartphones' GPS capability to flirt virtually with other members nearby. Now founder Christian Wiklund plans to monetize the service in the real world, licensing the software to 10,000 bars where patrons can use touch-screen terminals to send messages, "virtual drinks" and song dedications. "We want to anchor the Skout experience in physical places all around the country," Wiklund says.
