Larry Strickling, who was a technology adviser to President Barack Obama during his campaign for the White House, was unanimously approved by the Senate to oversee the National Telecommunications & Information Administration. As such, Strickling is expected to be instrumental in awarding $4.5 billion in broadband-stimulus funds.
