Federal study focuses on HIT impact at safety net facilities

HHS has contracted with George Washington University to explore how incentive programs such as those relating to health IT use can be applied to boost care at federal safety net clinics, as well as gauge the effect of EHRs in communities with marked health disparities. HHS is expected to submit the study's results to Congress early next year.
