Flat Out Crazy shares expansion plans

The Chicago-based parent of the Stir Crazy and Flat Top Grill casual chains has moved into expansion mode after securing $8 million in financing. Persuading lenders to bet on the chains' success was a much tougher proposition than it would have been before the downturn, and required the company to foster a partnership with bankers over time, said President and Chief Operating Officer Greg Carey.
