Macau chief executive to limit casino growth

Macau's chief executive, Fernando Chui Sai-on, has adopted a different approach to gaming from his predecessor, Edmund Ho. Chui has said he would not approve any casino projects beyond those already in process, and he has moved to increase public housing. "What the market lacks is a 10-year plan," said Sean Monaghan, a veteran casino analyst. "The government needs to ramp up its planning to enable those properties to come on board in a way that makes sense."
