Report: Natural gas to see its share of the market rise

Plentiful supplies of natural gas created by shale drilling and emissions-reduction efforts by government will lead to natural gas increasingly replacing coal as a source of the country's energy over the next few decades, according to a report by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Natural gas will eventually make up 40% of the U.S. energy market, up from its current 20% share.
