Smartphones beat desktops when it comes to reading e-mail

Smartphone users prefer reading e-mail on devices like the iPhone rather than on desktop PCs, according to a study from Litmus, a provider of e-mail delivery. The survey states that more than 50% of e-mail users delete messages within two seconds of opening them but that with good marketing 77% will spend 10 seconds or more reading an e-mail.
