Students gain enrichment, college experience at gifted-education camp

Gifted middle-school students from schools across Oregon are participating in weeklong sessions of an academic camp at Southern Oregon University. Students must apply and be accepted to attend the 30-year-old camp, called ACADEMY, which aims to replicate what college is like while offering courses in cartooning, mythology and entomology, among other subjects.
