Workers quietly build Toronto's largest green roof

One of the biggest challenges in developing Toronto's largest green roof was keeping workers quiet when politicians and administrative staff nearby were in meetings and did not want to be disturbed. Despite the delays, the $2.2 million living roof atop the second-story podium at Nathan Phillips Square opened late last month and features 37,000 square feet of greenery, paved walkways and eco-friendly LED lighting.
