ALDI eyes Southern Calif. expansion with regional office

Chicago-based discount grocer ALDI USA plans to open a $55 million regional headquarters and distribution center in Moreno Valley, Calif. The complex, which will create as many as 200 jobs, will serve as a jumping-off point for the chain's expansion into Southern California's Inland Empire. The company cites the region's low-income demographics in deciding to open up shop.
