Escaped red panda takes Twitter by storm

A red panda named Rusty is home safe after spending 24 hours on the run from keepers at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. -- and Twitter users can take some credit for his rescue. Zoo officials tweeted news of the critter's disappearance, sparking social media chatter that culminated in a tweeted tip about Rusty's whereabouts. "For a few hours this morning, he was even more popular than Amanda Bynes and North West," one Twitter official said.
