Study looks at nonadherence to diabetes drugs

Twenty-four percent of diabetes patients older than 20 were nonadherent to their diabetes medications, according to an analysis presented at the American Diabetes Association meeting. Researchers said young patients, women, retail pharmacy users and those new to diabetes treatments were less likely to adhere to their diabetes prescriptions.
