U.S. consumer confidence rises in June

U.S. consumer sentiment climbed to a more than five-year high of 81.4 in the Conference Board's index for June, up from a revised 74.3 for May. One prominent factor was an improved outlook on the jobs front, with nearly 12% of those surveyed describing jobs as plentiful.
