USPSTF: Screen baby boomers, high-risk patients for HCV

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force issued final recommendations advising doctors to screen all adults born between 1945 and 1965, as well as high-risk patients, for hepatitis C. The AAFP said the final recommendation changes language from a draft plan, which will force the Academy to delay publishing its own recommendations on HCV screening until it can study the evidence on the "birth-cohort approach."
