Amazon guarantees ad rate to grow app store

Application developers can secure an ad rate of $6 per thousand impressions from Amazon if they build apps for the Fire Phone. The hope is to expand Amazon's app store, which last week totaled 240,000 apps and games, while Google and Apple offerings each exceed 1 million.
