Commentary: Toyota ad works despite violence

Ads for Toyota's low-priced Yaris subcompact is oddly violent with its depiction of the vehicle destroying a cute piggy bank in one, and running over a yelping spider in another. But, writes Slate's Seth Stevenson, "The ads are appropriate to a low-cost, no-frills product like the Yaris."
