New York Times food writer Alex Witchel was on a mission to find the perfect food to match his favorite summer drinks when he happened upon a recipe for croque-monsieur. The dish, prepared by chef Damian Sansonetti, is made with thickly sliced pieces of Jambon de Paris and grated Gruyere cheese.
