Molecular breast-imaging technique more cost-effective than MRI

U.S. scientists have developed molecular breast-imaging technology and are testing it in research studies. The imaging system, which is several times cheaper than MRI, could be "useful for women who are not served well by mammography, those who have mammographically dense breast tissue, and those at increased risk for breast cancer," a study author said.
