PET used in study of pancreatic cancer treatment

PET imaging was used in a study of chemotherapy plus radiotherapy, combined with nelfinavir, a protease inhibitor, in locally advanced pancreatic cancer patients. Of the nine study participants who had PET scans, two showed no response to the therapy and the rest showed partial or complete response.
