U.S. vaccine panel recommends GSK's Rotarix

The U.S. Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices on Wednesday approved the inclusion of Rotarix, GlaxoSmithKline PLC's rotavirus vaccine, in the list of recommended childhood immunizations. The vaccine, co-developed with Avant Immunotherapeutics, is expected to compete against Merck & Co.'s RotaTeq.
