Business travel firms say competition for qualified agents is tough

Many corporate travel agencies say the market for qualified agents has become highly competitive. Job-hopping is becoming common, and skilled corporate agents have their pick of high salaries, benefits and perks such as flexible work hours. "There is a real shortage of corporate travel agents out there. Agencies that have agents are looking at ways to retain them," said Gail Walsh, who heads Personal Travel Consultant.
