CEA: Tablets will be about 80% of computer market in 3 years

Tablet computers will represent about four-fifths of the total computer market by 2016, according to executives of the Consumer Electronics Association. Shawn DuBravac, CEA’s chief economist and research director, said tablets currently enjoy a 40% home penetration rate. Jack Cutts, the association’s business intelligence senior manager, predicted that a $99 tablet will go on sale for this year's holiday shopping season.
