Cerberus Capital Management has submitted a bid to buy Harris Teeter Supermarkets, a source says. It's unclear whether the offer is for all 200 stores, but Cerberus reportedly aims to keep Harris Teeter's headquarters and management intact. The grocer said in May that it was negotiating with "certain parties" about its future. Earlier this year, Cerberus acquired several chains from SUPERVALU.
