New version of Firefox browser allows for Web calls, faster apps

Version 22 of the Firefox Web browser was released Tuesday, and it includes the capability to make video calls without plug-ins thanks to the open-source WebRTC standard. "We believe the industry has only scratched the surface of what's possible with WebRTC, and only by getting it into the hands of developers and early adopters will we see this technology's true potential," Mozilla's Robert Nyman wrote in a blog post.
