Obama's climate plan might be better than a carbon tax

Economists argue that a straight-up carbon tax would be more efficient than complex cap-and-trade or regulatory approaches to tackling climate change, but President Barack Obama's climate strategy might be an exception to that rule. A study by researchers from Resources for the Future suggests that, at least in some circumstances, Obama's proposed strategy might prove more efficient and effective.
