Small businesses use digital marketing for sales, awareness

Increasing sales and promoting brand awareness are the top two digital marketing objectives for small and medium-sized businesses, according to a poll from Vocus and Inc. Magazine, but increased customer engagement and reaching new customers also figured high on the list. The most-used digital marketing tool for SMBs is a company website with an 86.6% usage rate, followed by 77.3% who use social media and 65.8% who use e-mail marketing.
