Telefonica gives Windows Phone a boost in 6 countries

Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 platform won a major victory in signing a one-year "enhanced marketing agreement" with Spain's Telefonica under which the carrier will invest substantial resources in promoting the operating system in six countries. Telefonica said it wanted to combat the "current duopoly of Android and iOS" and would work to boost the presence of Windows phones in the U.K., Germany, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Chile.
