Dixons sees signs of spending recovery

UK-based consumer electronics retailer Dixons booked a 3% same-store sales rise for the year ended April, and a World Cup-fueled increase in TV sales have helped boost sales in May and June. Dixons also reported a 10% rise in fiscal year profits, putting it in a strong position as it gets ready for a planned merger with Carphone Warehouse.
