A newly discovered planet about 16 light-years from Earth may be capable of sustaining life, scientists say. Gliese 832c, which is about five times the size of Earth, has an Earth Similarity Index rating of 0.81, according to University of Puerto Rico's Planetary Habitability Laboratory scientists. A perfect match would be 1.0. But study leader Robert Wittenmyer of the University of New South Wales thinks the exoplanet may be more like Venus.
