U.K. confectionery makers to adhere to 250-calorie cap

Confectionery companies in the U.K., including Nestle, Ferrero and PepsiCo, will limit their single-serving products to 250 calories or less by 2016 in an agreement with the Food and Drink Federation. Mondelez and Mars previously announced their own 250-calorie caps. The changes are being made in an effort to reduce obesity and diabetes rates in the U.K.
