Australia health department criticized for handling of HIV monitoring

An HIV-positive man in Australia accused of reckless conduct for having unprotected sex with women without disclosing his status is being released from hospital detention, but monitoring will continue. The incident happened while he was being watched by the Department of Human Services and some say the agency has failed to protect the public. The state health minister said an audit of the HIV monitoring system is almost complete.
