Coca-Cola buys stake in Japanese bottler

Sales volume in Japan declined for Coca-Cola last year, so the major beverage company has opted to buy a 34% stake in the Tokyo Coca-Cola Bottling Company. The financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed, but the Takanashi family, who founded the bottler 50 years ago, will keep control of about 65% of the company.
