Safeway experiments with restaurants

Safeway recently opened a stand-alone restaurant in San Francisco named Citrine without any advertising or publicity. The eatery is a test for Safeway, a company that's looking for more ways to sell prepared foods. The Food Marketing Institute shows that consumers spend about half of their food dollars at restaurants or on take-out meals.
