AAA: Fewer Americans to take to road for July 4th holiday

The number of Americans who travel during the July Fourth holiday weekend will be 1.3% lower this year, AAA predicts. Of the 40.45 million expected travelers, about 85% plan to travel by car, about 1.2% fewer than last year. The national average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gas is now $4.07. That's 13 cents more than last month and $1.09 a gallon more than a year ago.
