Bill would extend unemployment benefits for 13 weeks

Unemployed Americans would receive a 13-week extension to unemployment benefits under a measure included in an Iraq war-funding bill Congress has sent to President George W. Bush. About 4 million people will be available for the extension after they exhaust the initial 26 weeks of unemployment benefits, according to one estimate.
