CDC: Efforts to reduce teen smoking stalled

CDC officials said new data show overall smoking rates have remained the same between 2003 and 2007, indicating that efforts to reduce teen smoking in the U.S. have stalled in the past five years as programs lose funding in many states. However, the survey also found fewer teens have tried smoking and fewer teens reported being frequent smokers.
