Gulf spill stalls Minnesota bridge project

The latest casualty of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill is an as-yet-unbuilt bridge in distant Minnesota, reports the Star Tribune. The St. Croix River Crossing bridge is on hold pending a federal environmental impact evaluation, but the agencies concerned have said they won't be able to spare staff and resources to assess the bridge project until the Gulf spill is under control.
