Midwestern senators ask for urgent action on ethanol-blend ruling

Seven Democratic senators from the Midwest are urging President Barack Obama to "use all available means" to ensure that the Department of Energy completes the testing needed by the Environmental Protection Agency to decide whether to increase the amount of ethanol in gasoline. In a letter to Obama, the lawmakers wrote, "In the wake of the worst oil spill in our nation's history, we believe our government should operate with a great sense of urgency to utilize more homegrown biofuels."
