San Francisco chef goes wild for local ingredients

Daniel Patterson, chef and owner of Coi in San Francisco, is sharing his passion for local ingredients by whipping up dishes made from foraged foods such as seaweed, wood sorrel, roots and bark. "It's about cooking with wild ingredients in the hopes that it can encourage local cooks, both professional chefs and home cooks to bring these flavors back into the kitchen," Patterson said.
