Wireless system helps cut costs for Houston's Yes schools

Houston's Yes Prep Public Schools have installed a new system for providing wireless voice, video and workplace collaboration at a considerable savings to the eight schools, which serve about 4,200 disadvantaged students. The system combines Aruba Networks Wi-Fi equipment with a Microsoft Lync Server 2010, and officials say the quality is comparable to more-expensive hardware options. "Let's just say no one can tell it's wireless," senior IT manager Troy Neal said.
