3 Minn. grocers test produce pilot program with SNAP

Participants in Minnesota's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can stretch their food budgets further at three supermarkets under a pilot program designed to encourage more consumption of fresh produce. Shoppers who use their benefit cards to buy $5 worth of fresh fruits or vegetables will get a $5 coupon toward their next fresh produce purchase.
