Alliance sees opportunities to cut food waste

A study commissioned by the Food Waste Reduction Alliance, which includes industry associations such as the Food Marketing Institute, the Grocery Manufacturers Association and the National Restaurant Association, notes opportunities for food-makers, wholesalers and retailers to trim food waste. The study also highlights barriers to waste reduction, including a lack of recycling and concerns about liability.
