Amtrak commits to hire more veterans by 2015

Amtrak plans to increase the number of military veterans in its workforce, with veterans comprising 25% of new hires by 2015. The decision drew praise from House and Senate lawmakers. "Amtrak has always been a leading employer of our nation's veterans and I can think of no better partner to help answer the challenge presented by veteran unemployment," said Rep. Jeff Denham, R-Calif.
