Automated systems can save money in the event of recalls

Companies can easily identify products in need of recall by using an automated reporting system, writes GE Intelligent Platforms manager Katie Beissel. Companies with manual systems might recall all products rather than go through paperwork to identify certain lots. Automated systems can target lots to improve efficiency and save the cost of excessive recalls.
