Commercial real estate transactions growing at slow pace

Investment transactions in the commercial real estate business are making steady, if slow, progress, according to an analysis by the CoStar Commercial Repeat Sale Index. The most liquid of core property types was apartments with a 2% drop in its six-month transaction rate. In the office, retail and warehouse sectors, transaction rates were down 35% or more from the previous recovery and growth period from 2004 to 2007.
