Cross-ownership is still a sensitive topic for FCC

Media consolidation wasn't a significant issue during a recent Senate panel hearing on the nomination of Tom Wheeler to head the Federal Communications Commission. But the issue of relaxing cross-ownership rules for TV stations and newspapers is still sensitive enough for some members of Congress and minority groups that no action is likely on such a proposal before the winter, Gautham Nagesh writes.
