Execs find clearinghouse interoperability "unfeasible"

NYSE Liffe CEO Finbarr Hutcheson and Eurex CEO Andreas Preuss are among panel members who said at an industry conference that imposing interoperability to clearinghouses is "unfeasible." "I don't think this is a sensible model, and it's not sensible or prudent for our marketplaces," Hutcheson said. "I think we're all aware of certain jurisdictions we wouldn't want our clearinghouse taking risk to." Preuss added that interoperability would make risk management impossible.
